Fireflies’ Light journal just published my haiku and senryu

Editors John Han and Mason Arledge just published a haiku and a senryu that I wrote, “Hawthorn Petals” and “Warm Spring Day,” in Fireflies’ Light #31 (April 2025): pages 10 and 51. These are my first poems in this journal. “Cottonwood Seeds” published in Ribbons

My tanka poem “Cottonwood Seeds” recently appeared in Ribbons 19.2 (Spring/Summer 2023) on page 42. The Tanka Society of America publishes Ribbons, and the editor is Susan Weaver. Tanka resemble haiku, but tanka are five lines long, so this format gives writers more space to develop ideas.
