My poem “The Ladies’ Library in Kalamazoo” is in the March 2018 issue of Encore magazine

My poem "The Ladies' Library in Kalamazoo" is in the March 2018 issue of Encore magazine. Next to the poem is a photo of the Aurora Leigh stained glass window in the Ladies' Library (built from 1878 to 1879).  My poem focuses a lot on that window and the feminist epic poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning published in 1856 that the window celebrates.  I am now the President of the Ladies' Library Association.

Poem about Airport Security Accepted for Publication by Earth’s Daughters

The editors of the literary journal Earth's Daughters have accepted my poem "Detention at Detroit Metro Airport" for publication in issue #91 with the theme of "Lines." It concerns my getting into trouble for having a small sewing scissors in my purse in 2001.
