Four Unique Collections Hosted by the Ladies’ Library of Kalamazoo on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Friday, March 1, 2019, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 333 South Park Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49007— The Ladies' Library Association (LLA) hosts a display of four unique collections. Browse through a bit of history featuring M & M Dispensers collected by Dick Baker, 1940 to 1960 Presidential Campaign Buttons and Stickers collected by Michael Krischer, Little Buildings collected by Deb Killarney, and Clothespins collected by Barb Baker. Collectors will be present to answer questions. This event is free and open to the public.  The LLA’s mission is to enrich the community through literacy, arts, and culture, and to preserve the Ladies’ Library and its history. My poem “The Ladies’ Library in Kalamazoo” is in the March 2018 issue of Encore magazine

My poem "The Ladies' Library in Kalamazoo" is in the March 2018 issue of Encore magazine. Next to the poem is a photo of the Aurora Leigh stained glass window in the Ladies' Library (built from 1878 to 1879).  My poem focuses a lot on that window and the feminist epic poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning published in 1856 that the window celebrates.  I am now the President of the Ladies' Library Association.
