Janet is a poet, literary critic, college professor, essayist, playwright, and fiction writer. She is a past president of the Society for the Study of Midwestern Literature, and is currently president of the Michigan College English Association. She has a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago, and has published three books of poetry: Exodus (WordTech Communications, 2014), Folk Concert: Changing Times (Anaphora Literary Press, 2012), and Traffic Stop (Finishing Line Press, 2011). She is the founding mother and former editor of Primavera, a literary magazine. Janet Ruth Heller Reads & Autographs Her Books at the Local Writers Expo at the Portage District Library in Michigan

Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—Janet Heller will read from and autograph her five books at the Local Writers Expo at the Portage District Library on Saturday December 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Around noon, she will read from her books.  She will also give advice about writing and publishing.  (more…)
