Read Across America includes How the Moon Regained Her Shape

On March 2, 2021, I participated in Read Across America by reading my award-winning fiction picture book for children about bullying and the solar system, How the Moon Regained Her Shape (Arbordale, 2006; 6th edition 2018). I read online for third- and fourth-grade students and teachers at Snow Elementary School in Newark, California. The students asked very good questions about my book and about being a writer. Thank you, Snow Elementary, for inviting me! https://snow.newarkunified.org/ #reading #readacrossamerica #bullying #solarsystem #picturebooks #HowtheMoonRegainedHerShapebook Cover of How the Moon Regained Her Shape by Janet Ruth Heller; artwork by Ben Hodson
