Sterling Script anthology published a poem by Janet about her oldest niece

Editor-in-Chief Terry Hojnacki published a poem that I wrote for my oldest niece when she was three years old entitled “Wendy Defiant” in the anthology Sterling Script: A Local Author Collection 2024 on page 65. Walper Publishing produced the anthology. Wendy is now a lawyer, teacher, and grant writer with two sons of her own. #poetry #children #toddlers #rebellion https://www.amazon.com/Sterling-Script-2024-Author-Collection/dp/1949224104 Janet Ruth Heller reading her poems at the Kalamazoo Public Library; photo by Hedy Habra

Frameless Sky issue on the theme of family

Frameless Sky 18 published my senryu poem "Black Sheep" online in late June, 2023. This is a special issue on the theme of family. The guest editor is Vandana Parashar.  Senryu differ from haiku because senryu poems are about people, while haiku poems focus on nature.  But both types of poems have the same structure. #family #poetry #literaryjournal #senryu Janet Ruth Heller reading her poems at the Kalamazoo Public Library; photo by Hedy Habra
