CAN POETRY BE FUNNY? Reading on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Kalamazoo Public Library

Hear great funny poems at the “CAN POETRY BE FUNNY?” reading on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Kalamazoo Public Library in the Van Deusen Room on the third floor.  Special guest speakers are Don Cooney, Lori Moore, Dennis White, Marshall Washington, Judy Sarkozy, Garrard McLeod, Michael Cockrell, and Bonnie Jo Campbell.  This event is free and open to the public. Local poets reading their work are Jennifer Clark, Joe Gross, Elizabeth Kerlikowske, Kit Almy, Janet Ruth Heller, Deborah Gang, Melanie Crow, Margaret DeRitter, Kurt Luchs, Robin Church, Alison Kennedy, and Gemma Wesolowski.  This event is sponsored by Friends of Poetry.  This reading is free and open to the public.  The Kalamazoo Public Library’s address is 315 S. Four Authors of Books for Children Reading and Autographing at Barnes & Noble in Brighton MI on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Meet Michigan children's book authors Lisa Wheeler, Maria Dismondy, Kathryn Madeline Allen, and Janet Ruth Heller!  Join us for book readings, crafts, and family fun!  All four authors’ books will be available for purchase and autographing.  Janet will be autographing her books How the Moon Regained Her Shape, which is an award-winning picture book about bullying, and The Passover Surprise, which is a chapter book about sibling rivalry.
