On Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Janet Ruth Heller and seven other Michigan authors and illustrators will be autographing their children’s books at the Detroit Festival of Books in the Eastern Market, Shed 6, Table 1 at 2934 Russell Street, Detroit, Michigan 48207. The other writers and artists there are Lisa Rose, Josef Bastian, Gin Price, Jean Alicia Elster, Patrick Flores-Scott, Jeff Jantz, and Jodi McKay. All of us are members of the Michigan chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Janet Ruth Heller will be autographing The Passover Surprise (Fictive Press, 2015, 2016), a middle-grade chapter book about sibling rivalry, and her award-winning fiction picture book about bullying How the Moon Regained Her Shape (Arbordale, 2006; 4th edition 2014).
