Article about Poetry for National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month, so journalist Kelly Manalo has written an article entitled “This April Celebrate National Poetry Month” posted on GoRead. Manalo quotes various poets, including Janet Ruth Heller, who discuss what makes poetry unique and give advice to writers about poetry.  The article also recommends some good poets for readers and writers to seek out. She argues that the details in poems appeal to the readers’ five senses. Heller believes that the most important aspects of a good poem include 1) original ideas, 2) effective images, 3) powerful word choice, 4) appropriate structure, and 5) rhythm." Here is a link to Manalo's whole article:  https://www.goread.com/news/this-april-celebrate-national-poetry-month/ Happy National Poetry Month!
