Janet Ruth Heller, Ph.D. will be speaking about “Keys to Reading and Analyzing Nonfiction” for the Michigan Reading Association Conference at the DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, March 9, 2019. She will do her presentation twice on March 9: 1) from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in River Overlook B and 2) from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Gallery Overlook A. Janet has published six books: an award-winning fiction picture book for children about bullying, How the Moon Regained Her Shape (Arbordale, 2006; 4th edition 2016); a chapter book for children about sibling rivalry, The Passover Surprise (Fictive Press, 2015, 2016); three poetry books for adults—Exodus (WordTech Editions, 2014), Folk Concert: Changing Times (Anaphora Literary Press, 2012), and Traffic Stop (Finishing Line Press, 2011; and the scholarly nonfiction book Coleridge, Lamb, Hazlitt, and the Reader of Drama (University of Missouri Press, 1990).
